My topic for this semester is architecture of ecological integration or Eco-form “DYNAMISCHE BEWEGUNG” a German term which means dynamic movement is the name of my building. Basically, I started by picturising a particular scenario of this world in two 2050 which depicts the integration of newer technology in order to reduce the time consumption in physical movement and increase of visual connectivity as well as I studied the evolution of transportation and communication. The revolution took pace in 1886 when car was invented in Germany so I guess now you can get why I opted for a German name. In 2050 many new connectivity technologies would have been introduced to humankind like Hyperloop, air-pods, flying cars etc. Travellator is the technology already in function which surely reduces time, I guess Terminal 3 is good example. Visual connectivity can be achieved through wider vision and multi-level vision, double height is an example. My site that is divided into two halves alongside Golf Course Road near forty 42-43 Rapid Metro Station. I did a site analysis considering some important physical factors that affect to building near a main road. Factors like noise, traffic, access and land use. I also considered natural factors like sun movement, wind rose etc. These factors gave me some inference that may provide site zones for different programs along with building massing. Then I studied a building that is Nanjing's Zendai Himalayas Centre, China, currently under construction. It is a hybrid building with programs like commercial space, offices, hotels and residential space. This gave me an idea of how we can maintain a balance between human and nature. A perfect example of ecological integration into a hybrid building. The main features are elevated walkways, depiction of Nanjing hills through form and semipermeable glass skin. Then I studied the distribution of program. It is as follows hotel 30%, foods and beverages 10%, offices 25%, retail 30% and 5% X-factor, here in my case X-factor tends to increase every kind of communication with travellator connecting both sites as an example. Placement of program keeping in mind the percentage breakup, spaces and voids for ecological integration. Spaces for landscape, spaces that tends to increase connectivity, with some inserts and plugins along with keeping in mind the cues from site analysis and case study. Keeping programs in such a way that they would have maximum productivity. Introduction of green spaces in voids, extension and inserts with keeping in mind the natural factors. Introduction of movable fins that provides semi-permeability made from solar panels that produces electricity and trying to make this building ecological. The form of the building is derived from the continuous process that keeps in mind all the phases mentioned earlier. A form that adhere to the inferences collected form site analysis, area distribution that provides maximum productivity from the programs. And finally, that both structures individually complement to each other and are functionally approved. The form should also intermingle the X-factor as well.
